I have established the SS Safari All-Star Fund of interest Acorn Fund at the Eau Claire Community Foundation to support and enhance the lives of dogs that need special care. It is my vision that with the support of grants from this fund, staff in shelter and foster care will receive training in positive approaches to canine behavior, that there will improved practices placing dogs in adoptive homes, hospice care for older,ill dogs and that advances will be made in research on canine cancer.

  The SS Safari Allstars Fund was inspired by my two golden retrievers Sadie and Saxon who loved, served and protected. Hemangiosarcoma took both their lives too early. My Sadie taught me to be a better human being through quiet presence service and strong leadership. My Saxon was the teacher for rehabilitating dog to dog aggression and building a champion. He taught leadership and second chances for puppies/ dogs. He taught the importance of socialization and proper puppy training. He taught the importance of being a leader and setting boundaries.
